*As a reminder, low risk merchants are card-present and pose minimal risk (low risk product/service, no future delivery, etc.), moderate risk merchants are card-not present and pose minimal risk (low risk product/service, minimal future delivery, etc.) and high risk merchants can be card present or card not present and have a higher risk product or service including without limitation supplements/nutraceuticals, negative option or continuity billing, electronic cigarette & vape, firearms, tobacco, CBD/hemp, collection agencies & debt repayment, chargeback producing and/or prone Merchants (i.e. >20 BPS), and Merchants with future delivery risks (i.e. >15-30 days). At its sole discretion, Maverick decides which risk category a merchant is in. Maverick also reserves the right to change risk levels and/or categories based on processing performance, risk reviews, and due diligence findings. This Zero buy rate program is subject to change and/or cancelation at any time.

Unless otherwise specified as a Zero buy rate item or listed below, all other agent costs/buy rates, obligations, and provisions as outlined in the respective Maverick agent agreement are applicable and unchanged. In addition, agents will receive a 90% revenue share on accounts under this program regardless of the agent’s current split.

The standard program costs will be as follows: AVS fee: $0.01, batch: $0.02, chargeback fee: $10.00, retrieval fee: $5.00, voice authorization: $0.75, chargeback reversal: $10.00, AMEX OptBlue: 10 bps. If you currently participate in Maverick’s white label program, the fee will be discounted to $2.50 per account.
Eligible merchants must be card present and have a low-risk product/service and MCC as defined by Maverick, which includes without limitation 5812, 5813, 5814, etc. Enterprises processing $250k/month and/or with 5+ locations will also qualify for the Zero buy rate program subject to Maverick’s approval.
Defined at Maverick’s discretion, ineligible merchants include non-US merchants and/or merchants that have a miscellaneous MCC (with the exception of 8099), have an elevated risk product/service (tobacco, adult novelty, firearms, and related verticals) or MCC (5993, 5941, 5947, 9223, etc.). Merchants may be removed from ZBR, which can include reasons such as a risk classification change (i.e. CNP activity), disputes and/or ACH rejects, being priced too low and/or incorrectly where Maverick is at a loss, etc.
For agents to qualify, an agent must have an existing portfolio that is under 0.25% on chargeback count, maintain a concentration of at least 75% low-risk merchant types as defined by Maverick, and the top 2 MCCs must be low-risk as defined by Maverick.
Agents are qualified to participate at Maverick’s discretion and will not automatically be enrolled. Maverick may remove eligibility at their discretion, with or without notice.
